Solace :: Pain Relief Liniment Spray
Solace, our salve for pain and deep healing, is a favorite of customers, and a go-to in our household, because it works. I decided to develop a similar, oil-free formulation in the form of a liniment spray, to make for a quick and easy pain relief spritz while you're out and about and on the go. Just pop the lightweight bottle in your bag, and treat any aches and pains as needed, with a pump or two.
This spray's anti-inflammatory properties can work wonders for sore and tense muscles, joint pain, inflammation, nerve ending issues, aches, bruises, and swelling. I particularly like to use it on tender bruises that are sensitive to the touch, as you can spritz on the soothing healing and not have to work the product in, like you would with the salve.
A tincture of comfrey leaf, St. John's Wort, pearly everlasting, goldenrod, nettle, and smartweed made with 80 proof vodka is combined with distilled water at a ratio of 30% tincture to 70% water, so it's gentle and non-drying.
∆ Because this product contains some water content, I use a proper FDA-approved paraben-free, organic preservative at a minuscule but effective 0.5% level to prevent the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold.
∆ You may see some herbal sediment at the bottom of this topical spray. This is a natural occurrence with wildcrafted, liquid-based herbal products, and is safe.
∆ This formulation comes in a 2 oz. blue (to protect from light), BPA-free, shatter-resistant PET plastic bottle with fine mist sprayer. It is airtight and leak-proof.
∆ No essential oils were used in this formula.
