Travel back in time to the year 1692, Salem, Massachusetts. Take a stroll with your witchy sister, Bridget Bishop, through her splendid apple orchard heavy with sweet, red fruit.

Bridget was a smart, sovereign, single woman, landowner, and gregarious proprietor of two taverns in Salem. Sadly, she was the first person in town to be unjustly condemned during the Salem Witch Trials.

Bridget’s home, located at 43 Church Street, was known for its bountiful apple orchards. Although the orchards no longer stand, people in recent times have reported paranormal sightings of Bridget here, with the faint smell of apples in the air. Could it be that her ghost still gathers the fruit?

This candle captures the "right from the tree" fresh apple fragrance. I've experimented with many apple-based fragrance blends, and this one smells like true apple, and perfectly captures the scent of Bridget's orchard in autumn, with its delicious, crisp, juicy apples warmed by the sun.

Not only is this natural candle wonderfully scented, it burns evenly and cleanly; it's phthalate-free, with lead-free 100% cotton wicks. Scent your home while being mindful of your health and the planet.

∆ It comes in a 9oz. amber glass jar, containing approximately 8oz. of soy wax, which yields 40+ hours of burn time.

∆ Infused with oils of apple, cinnamon leaf, cedar, vanilla, pear, and green leaves--a combination of essential oils and vegan cruelty-free fragrance oil in compliance with the International Fragrance Association (IFRA)

∆ Candle Burning Instructions + Safety Tips:

The first time you light the candle, allow it to burn until the liquid wax covers the entire top of the candle, all the way to the edge of the jar. This will ensure a clean, even, efficient burning cycle for the life of the candle.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch. If you notice a large flame during burning, blow out the candle and trim the wick before re-lighting. Place burning candle on a heat-resistant surface. Never move a candle while it's hot or burning. Blow out the candle if the jar becomes excessively hot. Keep away from drafts. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

To prevent the candle from boring a hole down the middle, burn it for a minimum of at least 2.5 hours at a time, and never more than 4 hours at a time. Basically, burn it long enough to achieve a melt pool that goes to the edge of the jar and is visible all the way around the glass.

The Only Apple-Scented Candle You Need

Close your eyes and imagine walking through an apple orchard on a rainy Autumn day. The feel of damp soil and leaves crunching beneath your feet while you pluck the bright red fruit from each branch. A whisper of pine smoke wafts from the chimney of a nearby house. You take a bite and allow the apple juices to run down the sides of your mouth. This is the juiciest apple you've ever eaten.

THAT is what Bridget Bishop's Orchard candle evokes.

Susan has masterfully blended the oils and wax to create this delightfully Autumnal candle.
