This herbal facial toner is filled with a variety of healing herbs and is suited for all skin types. It has nourishing and astringent properties, making it perfect for the removal of dirt, excess oil, and makeup without drying the skin. It's filled with antioxidants that protect skin from free radical damage, constituents that heal and prevent acne, and herbs that soothe and calm the skin.
Ingredients include linden flower, lemon balm, marshmallow root, calendula, elderflower, primrose, tulsi, purple loosestrife, horsetail shoots, rose petals, nettle, green tea, distilled witch hazel containing natural grain alcohol 14% and witch hazel extract. **Some of the ingredients in this toner may not be safe for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Please see product safety information below.**
**I highly recommend pairing this toner with the Herbal & Wild Mushroom Nourishing Face Cream and Nourishing Herbal Serum for optimal effects. After cleansing, use toner, then serum, and finish with the face cream.**
∆ Use daily after cleansing. Moisten a cotton ball or pad and apply to face and neck. Avoid using around the eyes.
∆ Because this product contains some water content, I use a proper FDA-approved paraben-free, organic preservative at a minuscule but effective 0.5% level to prevent the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold.
∆ You may see some herbal sediment at the bottom of your toner. This is a natural occurrence with wildcrafted herbal toner, and is safe.
∆ This toner comes in a 4oz. green glass bottle (to protect from light) that is airtight and leak-proof.
Important Product Safety Information
*MEDICAL DISCLAIMER* It is important to consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using our herbal products (or any herbal product), especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have any medical conditions, are taking ANY medications (prescription or over-the-counter), or if you have food or plant allergies.
**Note**Vegetal silica (contained in horsetail) can cause skin irritation for a small number of people. It's found in bentonite clay masks and is widely used in mineral makeup, so if you have a known reaction to either of these types of products, it's probably best to avoid this product. I myself have sensitive skin, and do not react to it.
**Please note that research shows internal use of horsetail is not recommendedduring pregnancy and there is not enough research to support whether or not it is safe to use internally during breastfeeding. There are other ingredients in this toner that should not be used internally during pregnancy. Because it is not certain how much is absorbed through the skin via topical application, it is best to be cautious and avoid using this tonerif you are pregnant or breastfeeding; or you can check with a qualified healthcare practitioner first.**
